William Boyd "Bill" Watterson II (born July 5, 1958) is an American cartoonist and the author of the influential and popular comic strip Calvin and Hobbes.
Always loved Calvin & Hobbes, even if I could never figure out how to pronounce it. I always pronounced it "H-oh-bbes" but every so often would hear someone call him "Hobb-es"
I have the entire collection in a box somewhere, definitely my all time favorite strip. For those that don't know Calvin is named for John Calvin, the Protestant reformationist and Hobbes, for Thomas Hobbes the influential philosopher and author of Leviathan.
We have several C&H books in our collection...I love them! I also adore Mutts!
ReplyDeleteC&H - nicely done. I always enjoyed their strip...
