While hanging out with Joe Gannonthis past weekend, I noticed that he was carrying all of his gear in a beautiful canvas bag from Wharf. So I decided to roundup my favorite canvas duffles that's currently on the market.
I received a tweet a few days ago from Dipt NYC asking about the perfect business card holder, so I decided to round up a few of my favorite selections.
Here's a great silent film of Princeton's crew team during the '48 through '50. The footage follows the team from Carnegie Lake and the Boathouse to walking around campus and regattas. Enjoy!
I know what I want for Father's Day: Matt Singer's Canvas Shave Kit. Made in the USA with sturdy 18 oz cotton Canvas, Singer's kit comes with a comb imprinted with CUT THAT HAIR YOU HIPPIE and cool illustrations by artist Jason Polan documenting different places to get your hair cut in NYC.
Although their collaboration with Nigel Cabourn is getting lots of attention (and rightfully so); Eddie Bauer's mainline collection is worth checking out as well this fall.
Constructed in Waxed cotton twill (Dry Series) or Duck canvas (Vintage Series), Wm J. Mills & Co.'s typewriter bag looks like a winner. Available August '11.
In order to celebrate Mother's Day, I decided to show case the house of one of the worst mother's of all time (although she totally redeems herself by enduring countless hours of polka music on route to seeing her son). For the cool price of 2.4 million dollars, you can own The McCallister's house and live the dream of every child from the 80s and early 90s Wet Bandits not included.
Since baseball season is in full swing, I decided to do a little research on early Ivy League clubs. And yes, some teams were integrated. William Matthews (front row #11) played four years at Harvard and later went on to get a law degree from Boston University.
Want to know the origins of my style or why I purchased TOPH after my first summer internship in college? Head on over to Brohammas and read my interview with Dalyn. I feel honored to be on the short list of those he interviewed and sketched in the past which includes Michael Williams, John Tinseth and Holliser Hovey. Enjoy!
When I first arrived at the office of my new job, I quickly noticed that everyone was carrying Orvis briefcases to work. I talked to a few people and expressed my interest in the bag and (low and behold) a few days later; I was surprised with one of my own. Not wanting to miss an opportunity, I asked one of the partners if I could quickly compare my new bag with his 10 year old one.
While those of us in the East Coast are finally getting to enjoy some good weather, Jack Spade is already thinking about Fall. Take a look at my favorite pieces.

Last month, Men's Health started a blog called Men at War, which seek to tell the stories of those who are currently serving in the military as well as those who served in the past. And one story that peaked my interest this past week was a little glimpse into the war experience of my favorite author J.D. Salinger.
