  3. What's the story behind "shooting" your penny loafers with pennies? I've never heard of anyone doing this before but love the idea as I have a long-standing love of coins minted in my birth year. :)

  4. @JoyC.
    It's all an illusion. lol.

    @Mike
    I'm more of a rounded-toe guy but they look sharp!

    @Amy
    By "shooting" I just mean taking pictures of them. I got the idea here

    Thanks for stopping by everyone!

  6. Apparently the uninitiated need to be illuminated about why penny loafers are called penny loafers.

  7. Awwwww I havnt put pennies in my Weejuns since oooohhhh my first pair I think. Has it really been that long? I suddenly feel the need to find some 2008 pennies to symbolize my son ;o) Such a great idea Skip!

  10. @tsb
    lol. I would keep the third one in my wallet possibly rotate.

    My wife suggest adding your significant other into the rotation. So no child is left behind. :)

  11. I hate the glossy finish on Weejuns. That is called "corrected grain" and it is not desirable in a good shoe. The made in USA versions were excellent

  12. At school we wore them with dimes for phone calls (showing my age). The bracelet (?) is ridiculous. It will continue to look silly years from now.
