Hilfiger and Birnbach launches Prep World
Available on April 28, Tommy Hilfiger and Lisa Birnbach will roll out a collection inspired by her book True Prep.
Details:
“Prep World, a capsule collection for women and men, will launch this spring with a global tour, featuring “drop-in shops” and events hosted by Hilfiger and Birnbach. The line will include 60 pieces that celebrate Hilfiger’s preppy classics with a twist, accessorized with such accoutrements as boat shoes, duck boots, Ping-Pong paddles and badminton rackets.” (via Lisa Lockwood at WWD)

I'm loving the looks, the ties, the critter anchors and the Hilfiger paddles but I still don't know if I'm ready to wear their logo again. Although the last time I did so was in maybe 8th grade, I guess I would have to see the shirts in person.

ReplyDeleteI was expecting a lot out of Tommy after the "Meet the Hilfigers" campaign. I really like the campaign's refined-stylish design. But, I do not think it has come to fruition in the clothing
ReplyDeleteI'm as disappointed by True Prep as I am by 95% of Tommy Hilfiger's collections. I appreciate the effort, but as usual, it just doesn't all come together.
