The Perfect Pea Coat

After searching for a new pea coat (as stated in my previous post in Nov), I decided to purchase one from Schott and it is perfect in every way.

  5. Alex, do tell, more details. I'm on the hunt for a pea coat. And while I'd most love on made by Loro Piana in cashmere, such a thing doesn't seem to exist and this might be a great substitute.

  6. Great coat!!! I'm sure you will be the envy of the New Castle Sailing Club! The first picture though must have been taken after the Eagles game.

After learning about the history of Schott's pea coat (see my Nov post), I instantly fell in love with it. I purchased the coat from ebay at about half the retail price but you can find good deals just by doing a Google search for "Schott pea coat." I also love the fact that it was made in America.

The fit is perfect for me (I have the 32 oz) but for a women, I would probably recommend the Lightweight fitted DU751W. Check out the site to get a better feeling of the different selections.

  8. Pea coats are the best! So warm and they look good with everything. And they last forever (as long as you don't gain any weight!) Good luck.
