Navy-ism

Back in March of 2008, ACL (one of my daily reads), scanned a few pages of his favorite Japanese magazine Free & Easy and I stumbled upon them this past weekend. This issued covered everything U.S. Navy and was aptly named Navy-ism. Free & Easy had a follow up issue to Navy-ism called Cadet Style, which appears to examine military style from a college and academy perspective. Check out Mister Freedom's Navy inspired apparel at Self Edge.

ACL breaks it down into 5 parts:Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5

  1. Pea coats, Submariners, don't you just hate it when a foregin nation takes our look and makes it look easy. It is also good to see someone recognize that a Tudor and a Rolex are indeed different watches. Hope you enjoyed our light snow this past weekend, and could I recommend you pack the kids in the Rover and take them up to Silverside Rd to see the house with all of the lights. Heck maybe even stop by Rockwood mansion afterwards to see Santa.

  2. So true. They love American style in Japan.

Great idea with the lights. I forgot about that house.
