Capsule AW 12: 18 Waits
Another person favorite at capsule was 18 Waits. They had a great showing all around with their shirts, pants and accessories but one particular cardigan really caught my eye. So I asked Will to give us a little background on this must-have winter item.

Project NY: Todd Snyder
I first learned about Todd Snyder at the Pop Up Flea and was very impressed with the casual pieces that they showed there (the bar T-shirts were genius). But for Project, Mr. Snyder decided to give us a glimpse of his dressier side and I must say that it is spot on.

Capsule AW 12: Baldwin Denim
I finally got a chance to meet up with the great people at Baldwin Denim and was blown away by the hospitality and the products. When the time comes for me to invest in a quality pair of denim and pants, I'm heading straight to these guys.
Project NY: Barbour
It was great seeing Barbour at Project and even better to get a hands on look at their Steve McQueen collection.
Project New York: Oak Street Bootmakers
One of the cool things about going to Project is actually seeing some of your favoirte companies make their product on the spot. I spent some time at Oak Street Bootmakers' booth where I was able to photograph some new boots as well as capture the making of one of their classics.
Capsule A/W 12: Wm. J. Mills
Whenever I go to Capsule, I make it a point to stop by Wm. J. Mills & Co. I'm always excited to see the new fabrics, patterns and textures that Tom Beatty applies to their classic silhouettes.

Capsule A/W 11: The Windmill Club
Although The Windmill Club didn't officially have a booth at capsule, Founder Kevin Burrows sported a tie that gives us a sneak peak at this year's collection.

Capsule A/W 2011
Just wanted to let you know that I'll be in NY next Monday for Capsule. Last year's trade show marked a turning point for the blog (forcing me to go outside my comfort zone and introduce myself to many brands and bloggers that I adore) and I am every thankful for the experience. Hope to see some of you there.

Capsule: 18 Waits
As I walked through Capsule a few weeks ago, I felt like a fish out of water during the first half of the show. Most of the brands were more interested in buyers than bloggers (for obvious reasons) but one of the few retailers that welcomed me with open arms was 18 Waits. Better yet, they even recognized me from twitter and my blog. Long story short, I had a great time talking about style and the company with the guys from 18 Waits, and even grabbed a quick lunch with William (who runs their Twitter account) on the rooftop of the capsule building. Live Free. Travel Well. Enjoy Life. That is definitely the 18 Waits way.

Capsule: Ally Capellino
As a person who blogs about style and fatherhood, Ally Capellino was the only brand that seemed to cater to both my passions.

Capsule: Ernest Alexander
Another brand that really impressed me at Capsule was Ernest Alexander. All of their items are made in New York City.
Capsule: Perfecto Brand by Schott NYC
Perfecto Brand by Schott NYC
Schott NYC, my favorite pea coat company in the world, just got way cooler with the addition of Greg Chapman as the creative director for their Perfecto Brand.

Capsule: Billy Reid
Billy Reid has been getting a lot of press lately and it is justly deserved after taking a peak at his new collection.
