DIY: Sheets & Sperry's
Inspired by my Nautical New Balances, a reader decides to add nautical sheets to his Sperry's.
Hi Skip, I'm a big fan of your blog! I was inspired by one of your recent post about re-lacing your New Balance's. I figured what the hell I'll give it a go on my Sperry's to break up the simple lacing. It was a simple process, I took a long paper clip and straightened it out but left a small hook on one end and duct taped the new rope to it. Thus began the re-lacing. First shoe took me about 30 minutes but I got the idea of the paper clip in the middle of the night. Attached are pictures of the finished product. Thanks for the inspiration and keep up the great work on the blog!

That's an awesome idea. Looks to be basic paracord? Gotta try it.
