Alex Grant in Layers

I never tried the polo under the Oxford look so I decided to use my son as a guinea pig. I got the idea from the TOPH Prep Persona No. 3 and I must say that it totally works. I love the fact that if it gets too hot with the Oxford shirt, i can easily take it off and still have an acceptable undershirt to sport.

From The Official Preppy Handbook

  1. So it must be another DE thing since I use my son as a guinea pig all of the time as well. He looks great!!!

  2. If I saw such adorableness unattended I'd have to snatch him up and take him home with me...XXOO

  3. @Summer is a Verb
    Thanks for stopping by!

I'm going to add you to my blogroll!

  4. OK I seriously LOVE that you used your son! I'm going to have to try that too. I love that look, very cool and chic. xoxo

  5. Love it! My boyfriend did the layering back in the early 80s when we were in college...I posted some pics awhile back of him showing the layers. You don't see it done much anymore, but it needs a comeback.

  6. @ Tickled Pink And Green

I found the pictures of Mandy & Otter! LOL. And Yes, the polo/oxford look needs to make a big comeback.

    Love the blog!

  7. by the way digging the sweater how is it compared to the old ones I just placed an order

  8. @Brian
I never had the old one so I can't compare but the sweater is awesome. It's a little bit heavier than I expected.
